Why strength is more important as you get older

Jennifer says, “Muscle supports our skeleton.” “As we age and lose muscle, our bones can become weak and break easily, which can lead to osteoporosis.” One of the most common ways for older people to get hurt is to fall and break a bone because they don’t have enough muscle support. We want to avoid that.

Wellness outside of the gym

Exercise is only one part of Jennifer’s overall health plan. She recently talked to Women’s Health about the many things she does to stay balanced full of energy, and happy, like spending time with her two dogs.

Jennifer Aniston’s Healthy Habit Q&A

I let my dogs, Clyde and Chesterfield, run around outside, and then I mix 16 ounces of water with colostrum, hair-growth peptides, and the juice of a whole lemon I eat that first, about 30 to 45 minutes before breakfast or coffee.

Who gave you ideas when you were young?

My grandma. I loved sitting with her in the kitchen while she made Greek pastries cookies, and spanakopita. She always made me laugh and was so kind to me.

What do you do to stay healthy for a long time?

It is important to keep your muscle mass healthy. I work out with my trainer, Dani, three to five times a week. Sometimes I also take a Pilates class to mix things up.

How do you take care of your mental health?

I try to meditate every day. Some days are too busy for a full 20 minutes, but I’ll still find 10 minutes or even a short break to breathe and calm my mind.

When was the last time you really felt like you were on top of the world?

That’s how I always feel when I finish a project. Wrapping something that took a lot of work and meant a lot is very satisfying. The last thing I worked on was season four of The Morning Show.
