Okay, I’m Officially Obsessed with These Orange Nail Designs

Orange Nail Designs

The snow in New York City is just plain mean right now. The only way to get away from the never-ending winter without spending a lot of money on a plane ticket to a tropical place is to daydream and do some great nail art.

This week, the best nail looks are all about having fun. I was drawn to bright orange nails with cool abstract designs, fruit decals, and ’70s-style flowers that make me want to get out of my winter hibernation and party. I still love animal prints, and some of my favourite nail artists have come up with really cool ways to make them look even more unique for your nails. I also found a cute retro doll design, even though I’m scared of them (my parents let me watch one of the Chucky movies when I was a kid, and they had to give away all my Barbies right away), but the look is definitely stylish.

Here are the ten best nail looks of the week. Before your next manicure appointment, make sure to save them.

Groovy Florals

I often wish I could go back in time and party during the height of disco. But for now, I can enjoy this 70s-style manicure. This fun mix of psychedelic designs and bright orange, pink, yellow, and brown was made by nail artist Haley Lemus. It makes me want to pull out all my Donna Summer records and dance all night.

Abstract Citrus

I know I’m not the only one counting down the days until the temperature rises above 75 degrees. This mani makes me feel all the summer vibes. This abstract orange and white nail design by nail artist Camila Acevedo is so cool. It’s the perfect look for when I can finally go outside for all my summer adventures.

Fruit that is juicy

This manicure by nail artist Gurleen Sidhu stopped me in my tracks. It’s a work of art. Sidhu combines different fruits, like kiwi, papaya, and peach, to make designs that are so detailed and real that I can almost taste how juicy they are through the screen. They’re great for summer.

Summer Bouquet

Nail artist Chi made these bright nails for N’DAO. They have an abstract floral design. Shoreditch is just really, really cool. When summer comes, it’s the perfect mix of green, pink, yellow, and white.

Dolls and Martinis

Amber Hernandez, a nail artist, did this nail look that is both strange and cute. Hernandez uses designs with olives, cheetah print, and cherries, but my favourite is the doll face. It’s so stylish and a little bit naughty (I know a side-eye when I see one) for something that wasn’t expected.

Animal for Cool Girls

I love that animal print nails are in style this year, and these designs by nail artist Laura Jane might be the best ones yet. The rich copper metallic base with black tiger stripes and a gold stud gives off that cool-girl vibe that I can’t seem to find.

Dreamy Pastel Mix

These pastel nails by nail artist Madi Jardine are soft and romantic, and they really calm me down. With droplet decals and geometric designs, this creamy white, muted mauve, and light periwinkle colour makes me want to live the softest life I can.

Neon Leopard

You don’t need to add much to an animal print to make it look cool, but I love this surprise twist. Queenie Nguyen, a famous nail artist, adds a single line of neon green to a metallic leopard print. It looks great and works well with the strong contrast.

Sour Apple

Betina Goldstein, a celebrity nail artist and Chanel ambassador, made this beautiful matte, multi-colored sea glass mani. She is the queen of the minimally chic mani. The earth tone colours are see-through, which makes it so calming and peaceful to look at.
