Costa Careyes which means “Turtle Coast,” is a small town in Mexico that I visited a few months ago. It took me more than 10 hours to get there You might be wondering why I’m telling you this right now It’s because the trip was with Sweed Beauty who took a few beauty editors on a press trip there to test out some of their best selling products and let some sea turtles go. They save a baby turtle for every mascara they sell. I tried the Cloud Mascara which is also the mascara Sabrina Carpenter used on her Short n’ Sweet tour.
First Impressions Of The Brand
Honestly I didn’t know a lot about the products before the three day trip I knew that some famous people liked the brand and I had heard good things about the Eyelash Growth Serum from other beauty bloggers but other than that I didn’t know much about Sweed. What better way to put the Cloud Mascara to the test than to wear it on two 90 degree beach days in Mexico?

Panthenol is one of the most important ingredients The wand’s accuracy was my first impression. It separates my lashes very well which is one of the most important things I look for in a formula. I really hate clumps and chunks. It also adds a lot of length and volume with just a few swipes as you can see below. This makes it perfect for my 10 minute makeup routine before work every day And as a beauty editor I have a lot of events from early morning meetings to late night dinners and the office in between The Cloud Mascara lasts all day without flaking.
Before And After Results
It comes in both brown and black which I really like because I have light eyes and don’t like wearing very dark mascara every day In addition to being safe for sensitive eyes the clean ingredient list includes panthenol which helps nourish the lashes And it makes me look much more awake in seconds because it lifts my eyebrows. I didn’t know how much it would change my look until I saw my before and after photos.
Performance In Heat And Humidity
Months later the mascara is still one of my favourite things in my messy makeup collection. I knew it would last in my everyday life because it could handle heat and humidity on a splashing boat ride and sweaty beach days in Mexico Also the sea turtle release was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Thanks to Sweed we let about 200 baby turtles go into the ocean.
