The main nail colours for this spring are anything but boring. The baby blues, lilacs, and other pastels that are popular at this time of year are still around, but in 2026, we’re also going for more edgy options. You’re in the right place if the thought of a new season makes you want to change up your nails. As the weather gets warmer, you’ll start to see these 11 spring nail polish colours everywhere.
Milk in the clouds
Celebrity nail artist Ami Streets says that the soft airy cloud-like white colour on our nails will be a nod to the 2026 Pantone Colour of the Year, Cloud Dancer. Eri Ishizu, a famous nail artist, agrees that a sheer white should be your next nail colour. For a good milky base try OPI’s Funny Bunny or Essie’s Marshmallow.
Colours of the earth
Earth tones are great colours to use as neutrals. Streets says, They’re elegant shades that feel very grown-up and chic. She suggests chocolate browns like Clove from Manicurist, or a grey with oyster-like undertones. This year, muted greens that look like moss and algae are also popular. Ishizu suggests sage green and olive green as other important colours to try.
Misty blues
Ishizu suggests soft blue shades with a misty tone for spring. Streets says you want a light, washed denim colour. These blues remind me of clear skies and calm seas, which makes them even more appealing as we head into the new season, she says.
Rose that isn’t too bright
Ishizu says to look for softer versions of pink for spring 2026, along with other soft colours. We like the Bio Sculpture Nourishing Nail Polish in the colour Love or the Hermès Les Mains Hermès in the colour Rose Tamisé.
Yellow butter
Pastels are still a classic choice for spring, and butter yellow is one of celebrity nail artist Zola Ganzorigt’s favourites. She suggests the soft yellow Buttafly by OPI, which has a soft shimmer finish. We also like the Gucci Glossy Nail Polish in Cecilia Ivory or Essie’s Original Nail Polish in Summer Soulstice, which are both pretty and soft yellow colours. Chanel Le Vernis Longwear Nail Colour in 129 Ovni is a good choice if you want something brighter with a nice shine.
Pearl with a rainbow colour
Holly Falcone celebrity nail artist, is going all out with pearl-like glaze finishes this spring. Falcone says, An iridescent pearl topper can change any colour with a little veil of magic. Her favourite is OPI Nail Lacquer in Glazed N Amused, which gives the nails a pearly shine and a hint of pink. The Palette Pearl Top Coat is another favourite of ours. It’s vegan and gives polish a sheer frosty shimmer finish. Or, for more coverage and a stronger pearl shimmer, use Nails Inc Polish in Make It Mythical.
Sunny orange
Another colour to try this spring, and one that Ganzorigt likes, is orange, which will add warmth and depth to your nails. We like the tangerine colour Orange Boîte from Hermès and the Nailberry L’Oxygéné polish in Spontaneous.
Fire cherry
Falcone loves seeing this classic colour in the spring, but it works all year round. We do too. Red checks all the boxes: it’s bold, fun, and light. Use a bright colour like OPI’s Big Apple Red or Chanel’s Le Vernis Longwear Nail Colour in Incendaire. We also love the Hermès Les Nail Polish in Rouge Casaque. It’s very bright and has a smooth, shiny finish.
Blush
Nail artist Brittney Boyce says that pinks are totally in right now. I like a soft colour with a little lightness, she says. She suggests Aprés Nails in Sweet Cheeks, which is a soft pink with a glossy finish. We also like Ellen Blush by Gucci and Dior Vernis 108 Muguet. We can’t talk about pastel pink nail colours without mentioning the classic Essie shade Ballet Slippers. This polish is the perfect pale pink because it has a sheer finish and is approved by beauty editors and experts.
Lavender that is romantic
Ganzorigt says that this light colour will still be the best spring nail colour this season. Manicurist Nail Polish in Lisa Lilas and Chanel Le Vernis Longwear Nail Colour in Immortelle are deep and warm colours. Le Mini Macaron in Lavender is a brighter and more lively colour.
Crème de periwinkle
Periwinkle is a great spring nail colour because it is a rebrand of the blueberry milk nail trend from 2026. Falcone likes to add some extra shine to OPI Nail Lacquer in Verified by putting a pearl iridescent topper on top. Nailberry in Serendipity is a warm-toned blue that will add depth to your pastel mani.
